Santa Clara County Superior Court Invites K–5 Students to Submit Original Artwork for Public Display
SAN JOSÉ, CA (April 24, 2025) : The Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara is excited to announce a countywide call for original artwork from elementary school students in grades K–5. This initiative, led by Judge Elizabeth C. Peterson, seeks to highlight the creativity and joy of young students by showcasing their artwork in the Court’s newly revitalized Jury Assembly Rooms.
Students are encouraged to submit pieces that reflect the theme: “What brings you happiness and joy.” Selected works will be featured in public jury assembly spaces and on the Court’s official website beginning July 7, 2025.
Submission Guidelines:
- Artwork must be original and submitted as 8 x 11 hard copies.
- Electronic submissions will not be accepted.

All appropriately themed submissions will be displayed with the name of the student’s school (student names will not appear), and artwork will not be returned. For schools submitting 25 or more pieces, the Court will coordinate pickup directly.
