Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara Announces Swearing-In of Vincent I. Parrett

SAN JOSÉ, Calif. (July 1, 2024) The Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara is pleased to announce the swearing-in of Vincent I. Parrett as its newest judge. The ceremony took place on July 1, 2024, filling the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Patricia M. Lucas.

Judge Parrett, an accomplished attorney from Palo Alto, brings a wealth of experience to the bench.  Since January 2021, Parrett has been a Partner of global IP firm Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP on its Complex Commercial Litigation team in Silicon Valley, representing executives, founders, and companies nationwide.  Before Kilpatrick, Parrett was a partner and trial lawyer at Bergeson LLP and Motley Rice LLC. Early in his career, he served as an officer and lawyer in the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General’s Corps, representing Sailors and Marines on trial at Courts-Martial at Naval Station Norfolk, the world’s largest naval base.

Judge Parrett is a graduate of Yale College, NYU Law, and Naval Justice School.  In addition to his professional practice, Judge Parrett has provided pro bono services to the civil justice system in Santa Clara County and served as the 2020 chair of the Santa Clara County Bar Association's Civil Practice Committee.
