Finding a CESC Neutral

The Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara offers an Civil Early Settlement Conference (CESC) Program for parties in general civil limited and unlimited jurisdiction cases.

When all parties stipulate, using the Court's ADR Stipulation and Order Form ( Form CV-5008 ), they may choose any mutually acceptable neutral from the Court's list of neutrals to hold a settlement conference in the neutral's office. The Court will pay the neutral a one-time flat fee of $150.00 for up to 3 hours of the neutral's time. Parties will negotiate directly with the neutral for more than 3 hours of the neutral's time. For more information, see the  Civil Early Settlement Conference Program Rules (Local Civil Rule 4)
