Mock Trials

A "mock trial" is a simulation of a lower-court trial, providing students with the opportunity to participate in a rehearsed, interactive fictional trial to gain firsthand insight into the Court's role in the judicial branch of government. The Court can arrange a one-hour session where students can play the roles of attorneys, witnesses, jurors, and judge.

This arrangement accommodates anywhere from six to 20 active participants. Open to all educational and community-based organizations, it is designed for students in grades 2-8 but can also accommodate older students. Students must prepare and rehearse roles before the actual mock trial in the courthouse.
