Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara Welcomes Judge Mary Procaccio-Flowers
SAN JOSÉ, Calif. (May 26, 2026): The Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara is pleased to announce that Judge Mary Procaccio-Flowers was officially sworn in as a Judge of the Superior Court on May 26, 2026.
Prior to her appointment, Judge Procaccio-Flowers served as a Law Clerk for the United States District Court for the Northern District of California beginning in 2025. She previously served in several academic roles at Santa Clara University School of Law, including as an Adjunct Professor in 2025 and 2026 and as an Assistant Clinical Professor from 2020 to 2025.
Judge Procaccio-Flowers also practiced law as an Associate at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in 2020 and from 2012 to 2019. From 2019 to 2020, she served as a Law Clerk for the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.
“Judge Procaccio-Flowers brings an impressive blend of judicial, academic, and private practice experience to the bench,” said Presiding Judge Julie A. Emede. “We are pleased to welcome her to the Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara and look forward to her service to the people of our community.”
Judge Procaccio-Flowers fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Erica R. Yew.
