Judicial Officers Honored with Statewide Awards

SAN JOSÉ, Calif. (September 29, 2025) The Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara, is proud to celebrate several of its judicial officers who have recently been recognized with prestigious statewide honors.

At the California Judges Association (CJA) annual conference, Commissioner Jillian M. Laxton was presented with the California Court Commissioners Association Commissioner of the Year Award on September 12, 2025. This award recognizes her outstanding dedication, leadership, and contributions to both the bench and the broader legal community.

Also at the CJA conference, Judge Johnny C. Gogo received the 2025 Alba Witkin Humanitarian Award, which honors individuals whose work has had a meaningful impact on their communities. Judge Gogo’s unwavering commitment to service and justice continues to inspire colleagues and the public alike.

In addition, Judge Jessica Delgado was named the Family Law Judicial Officer of the Year by the California Lawyers Association, recognizing her exceptional work and leadership in the area of Family Law.

“These recognitions reflect not only the dedication and excellence of our individual awardees but also the Superior Court’s ongoing commitment to equity, justice, and community service,” said Presiding Judge Julie Emede.

The Court celebrates their accomplishments and the positive impact they continue to have across Santa Clara County and the state of California.
