Family Justice Center Courthouse Resumes Operations Following Power Outage
SAN JOSÉ, California (April 3, 2024): This morning, the Family Justice Center Courthouse experienced a momentary closure due to complications with a generator being used to power the building until a power source mechanical failure can be fixed. However, through swift equipment evaluation and dedicated restoration efforts, the generator was reset efficiently. In less than 30 minutes, power was fully reinstated to the courthouse, enabling Court Administration to promptly reopen the facility to both staff and visitors.
Given the electrical issues, technicians will conduct maintenance on the generator this evening to ensure optimal performance. Consequently, all power to the building will be temporarily shut down at 6:00 p.m. The expectation is that maintenance will be completed, and power fully restored, before 7:00 a.m. on Thursday.
Court leadership extends sincere gratitude for the patience and understanding shown by personnel and the public during this temporary closure. The safety and well-being of our staff and visitors remain our primary concern, and we are fully committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment within our facility.
